Project: Founded in 1895 in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park, the de Young Museum has been an integral part of the cultural fabric of the city. For its recent re-design, Newmat was successfully utilized in this state-of-the-art new facility, which integrates art, architecture, and natural landscape.
Essentially used as a lighting element, NEW/LIGHT double-layered systems were installed using various light sources to backlight the ceilings, including daylight, quartz fixtures, and tungsten fixtures.
