Project: The recent reconstruction of this private residence in an upscale area of Long Island included an indoor swimming pool.
NEW/ACOUSTIC white lacquer membranes were utilized to cover 2,500 square feet of wall areas. NEWMAT created a custom perimeter system to accommodate the window penetrations in a seamless fashion. In addition, the spaces behind the membranes were laminated with fiberglass to increase the acoustical performance of the system and provide cushioning for impacts.
The white lacquer membranes together with the wood ceiling and the custom designed Great Barrier Reef pool mosaic made this a spectacular project.
